Tribute paid by Jai Bhim Manch on the occasion of the 69th martyrdom anniversary of Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar Ji
Rajpura Punjab,06 December 2025 (Report Himanshu Harry) The 69th death anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution and the country’s first Law and Justice Minister, was observed with great reverence and enthusiasm in Rajpura today. Under the leadership of Jai Bhim Manch’s president Sukhjinder Singh ‘Sukhi,’ a grand prayer meeting and tribute ceremony were held at Ambedkar Chowk. Hundreds of Ambedkar supporters, followers, and well-wishers paid homage by offering flowers to the statue of Baba Saheb.All attendees took a firm pledge to follow Dr. Ambedkar’s guidance and principles and to continue promoting his vision for social justice and equality.The Jai Bhim Manch took significant steps to strengthen and expand its organization during this event. Due to the active work and public welfare initiatives of the Manch, many members who were previously affiliated with other organizations have now rejoined Jai Bhim Manch, boosting its strength and outreach.On this occasion, President Sukhjinder Singh ‘Sukhi’ made two key demands to the government, which have been pending for some time:He demanded that the place formerly known as ITI Chowk in Rajpura be officially renamed as ‘Ambedkar Chowk’ immediately, to honor Baba Saheb’s contributions permanently.He also called for the construction of an Ambedkar Bhawan in Rajpura, which would serve as a center for social and welfare activities, especially benefiting marginalized communities.
President Sukhjinder Singh clarified that Jai Bhim Manch will continue its struggle until these just demands are fulfilled.
