ਰਾਜਪੁਰਾ,08 ਦਸੰਬਰ (ਐਚ.ਐਚ.ਸੇਤੀਆ): ਰਾਜਪੁਰਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੀਨਾ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹਲਕਾ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਮੈਡਮ ਨੀਨਾ ਮਿੱਤਲ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸਟ੍ਰੀਟ ਵਿਕਰੇਤਾ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਲਗਭਗ 133 ਸਟ੍ਰੀਟ ਵਿਕਰੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਮਾਰਕੀਟ ਅਤੇ 127 ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਵਿਕਰੇਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਜੀ ਮਾਰਕੀਟ ਵਿੱਚ 4×6 ਫੁੱਟ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਜੋਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਰਾਬ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਨਵੀਂ ਮਾਰਕੀਟ ਦੀ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਛੋਟੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੁਵਿਧਾਜਨਕ ਪਾਈ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਉੱਥੇ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਲਗਭਗ ਅਸੰਭਵ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਸਟ੍ਰੀਟ ਵਿਕਰੇਤਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਮਾਰਕੀਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਸਟ੍ਰੀਟ ਵਿਕਰੇਤਾ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸਟ੍ਰੀਟ ਵਿਕਰੇਤਾ ਰਾਮ ਚੰਦ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰ ਲਈ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ 4×6 ਫੁੱਟ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਗੱਡੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਰੱਖੀਆਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਕੋਈ ਗਾਹਕ ਨਹੀਂ। ਜੇਕਰ ਇੱਕ ਗੱਡੀ ਦੂਜੀ ਗੱਡੀ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਖੜ੍ਹੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਗਾਹਕ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਵਿਕਰੇਤਾ ਉੱਥੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਮੰਗ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਨੂੰ ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ 9×9 ਫੁੱਟ ਤੱਕ ਵਧਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੀ ਗਣੇਸ਼ ਬੂਥ ਮਾਰਕੀਟ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਲੋਕ ਕਈ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ, ਮਾਰਕੀਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹੀ ਪਾਣੀ, ਪਖਾਨੇ, ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ, ਰੋਸ਼ਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਫਾਈ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ ਹੈ। ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੇ ਪਖਾਨੇ, ਗੰਦਗੀ, ਨਸ਼ੇੜੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਟੋ ਮਕੈਨਿਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਗੰਦੇ ਸ਼ੈੱਡ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਵਿਗਾੜਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਗਲੀ-ਮੁਹੱਲੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਰੇਤਾ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਨਗਰ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਾਇਜ਼ ਮੰਗਾਂ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੰਗ-ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਅਗਲੇ ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੜਕਾਂ ਜਾਮ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਜਬੂਰ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਤੋਂ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮਾਰਕੀਟ ਦੀ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਦਾ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਕਰਨ, ਸਥਾਈ ਬੂਥ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ।
Rajpura, December 08 (H.H.Setia): The street vendor market established a month ago in Rajpura city by the constituency MLA Madam Neena Mittal, which was designed to provide 4×6 feet space to about 133 street vendors in one market and about 127 vendors in the other market, has now deteriorated severely. The space of this new market has been found to be very small and inconvenient, due to which it has become almost impossible to do business there. The street vendors remain at their old places and refuse to go to the new market. Ram Chand, a street vendor in this street vendor market, said that the space provided is not enough for their business. He said that only vehicles can be kept in the 4×6 feet space, but no customers. If a vehicle is parked next to another vehicle, neither the customer nor the vendor can stand there. They are demanding that the space be expanded to at least 9×9 feet, like the previous Ganesh Booth Market, where people have been working without any problem for many years. Apart from this, the market lacks proper water, toilets, security, lighting and cleanliness. Open toilets, filth, dirty sheds belonging to drug addicts and auto mechanics further worsen the condition of the market. Vendors in every street and locality are warning that if the municipal council does not fulfill their legitimate demands and continues to harass them, they will be forced to block roads and protest next Wednesday. They have demanded that the administration take immediate action to expand the market space, build permanent booths and provide basic amenities.
