ਰਾਜਪੁਰਾ,13 ਦਸੰਬਰ 2025 (ਹਿਮਾਂਸ਼ੂ ਹੈਰੀ): ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਚਲਾਈ ਗਈ ਯੁੱਧ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਮੁਹਿਮ ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਚ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਪੈਸ਼ਲ ਸੈਲ ਰਾਜਪੁਰਾ ਦੇ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਸਬ ਇੰਸਪੈਕਟਰ ਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਉਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰ ਨੂੰ 10 ਕਿਲੋ ਅਫੀਮ ਸਹਿਤ ਕਾਬੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਐਸਪੀਡੀ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਗੁਰਬੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੈਂਸ, ਡੀਐਸਪੀ ਮਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਸਪੈਸ਼ਲ ਸੈੱਲ ਦੇ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਰਾਜਪੁਰਾ ਦੇ ਸਰਹੰਦ ਰੋਡ ਤੇ ਨਾਕਾ ਬੰਦੀ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਇੱਕ ਕੈਂਟਰ (ਪੀ ਬੀ 10 ਏਫ੍ ਵੀ 4197 ) ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੱਕ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ਤੇ ਰੋਕਣ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਤਲਾਸ਼ੀ ਲਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 10 ਕਿਲੋ ਅਫੀਮ ਸਹਿਤ 1 ਵਿਆਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਬੂ ਕਿਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਪੁੱਛ ਕਿਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਕਤ ਵਿਆਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਦਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਸਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਸੀ ਥਾਣਾ ਸਮਰਾਲਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਾ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਦਾ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਝਾਰਖੰਡ ਤੋਂ ਅਫੀਮ ਖਰੀਦ ਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਲਿਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਕਰਨੀ ਸੀ ਉਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਮੁਕਦਮਾ ਦਰਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਂ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਡੂੰਘਿਆਈ ਨਾਲ ਪੁੱਛ ਗਿੱਛ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਕੇ ਦਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਣਯੋਗ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿੱਥੋਂ 02 ਦਿਨ ਦਾ ਰਿਮਾਂਡ ਮਿਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੀ ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ।
Rajpura, December 13, 2025 (Himanshu Harry): As part of the war against drugs campaign launched by the Punjab Government and following the directions of higher authorities, Sub Inspector Manpreet Singh, in-charge of Special Cell Rajpura, and his team have arrested a drug smuggler with 10 kg of opium. Talking to reporters in this regard, SPD Sardar Gurbant Singh Bains, DSP Manjit Singh and Special Cell In-charge Manpreet Singh informed that during the check post on Sirhind Road in Rajpura, a canter (PB 10 FV 4197) was stopped on suspicion and searched. One person was arrested with 10 kg of opium from it. During questioning, the name of the said person is Davinder Singh, son of Jaspal Singh, resident of Police Station Samrala, district Ludhiana, who was buying opium from Jharkhand and bringing it to Punjab and was to supply it to various cities. They further informed that no case has been registered against him earlier. But still, the police party, which is interrogating him in depth, registered a case and produced Davinder Singh in the honorable court, from where he was given a 2-day remand and further interrogation is continuing.
